This Newport, Rhode Island estate located on Bellevue Avenue was designed by the famed architect George Mason, Jr. in the late 19th century. The entire length of the mansion was dug out and a full lower level was added underneath. Since this house was previously owned by Harold Vanderbilt it seemed fitting that the brief for this project was to transform a void space into the main salon of a high end luxury yacht.
