Early in the fall, the 95-foot cold-molded composite yacht known as Project Ouzel passed another milestone: the pilot house that will protect owners from the elements is now in place.
By completing the yacht’s profile, Tom Degremont says, “One starts to feel what it will be like to be onboard: sleek classic lines, generous side decks, and a bright and spacious interior volume.” The result is “a feeling of elegance, power, and seaworthiness.”
Rockport Marine’s Sam Temple notes that the added elevation accentuates the hull’s low sheer, Overall, he adds, “the effect has been to further articulate the harmonious styling of the whole.”
Over the winter, Rockport Marine will continue to build out the interior and systems, which are all designed to support comfortable, seaworthy cruising in high latitudes. Launching is expected late in 2025. “We are past the phase where much work is unseen,” Temple says, adding that they are “beginning our acceleration to completion, with large-scale visible changes coming quickly.”
